Dolphin riding the waves

One of the little artists wanted a dolphin to paint....
This is what I came up with and we have cut out and painted many more.
The dolphin is free from the wave. The wave is one piece cut with table
tilted at 2 different angles.
"Cool Quilt"
This "cool quilt" was made for a baby boy, in the desert, in the summer. The bag and "soothies" were made with the scraps. I had never heard of a "cool quilt " it was given that name because it is for the warm summer days when a regular quilt is too much. It is made with cotton fabric and no batting in the middle.
The "soothies" are filled with flax seed and can be used cold if stored in the freezer or can be warmed in microwave. An extra bag to tote all the baby necessities in is helpful.. I enjoyed sewing these gifts and wanted to share.
